Today, what a day it was!
This morning, I completed my CrossFit WOD & also went to Red Rocks for one last training session before the Gildan Esprit de She k race this weekend.
4 Clockwork Legs (2 Each Leg)
4 Burpee to Slam Ball
4 Slam Ball Goblet Squats
Spend 15 minutes working on kettlebell snatches
12 Min AMRAP
Power Cleans (155/105)
Burpee Box Jumps (30/24)
Rep Scheme: 1,1,20...2,2,20...3,3,20...etc.
I completed 5 rounds + 3 additional power cleans in the 12 minutes. My weight was 85# so not quite Rx.
Following this workout, I went home to work because come 10:00 a.m., my good friend, Janine, & I were headed to Red Rocks. Our 5K is this Saturday, October 22.
Saturday, October 15, we ran 2.54 miles of the course and I finished in 27:12. Note, that this course is more than halfway uphill! It is a doozy.
Today, we ran 2.69 miles and I finished in 26:34. A little improvement on pace. I hope this means our training is paying off!
I finished my day working from home. I honestly cannot say how thankful I am to have found a career that allows me the flexibility to truly understand & practice work-life balance. Today demonstrated that. Having this freedom allows me to work more productively & efficiently.
If you can imagine, I am pretty wiped right now. Aside from 6 or 7 peanut M&Ms Janine gave me post run, I stuck to my calories below.
3 days of accountability through blogging & I would say I am doing alright. Let's keep this momentum going! One day at a time!
